At INR 4.5 crores, Corey Anderson was the Mumbai Indians’ second-costliest buy at the IPL Player Auction 2014. The hard-hitting left-hander proved that the big money spent on him was worth every penny as his big-hitting provided the much-needed boost to the batting line-up. The left-hand bat who had hit an ODI century for New Zealand in just 36 balls against the West Indies, came close to repeating his feat when he stayed unbeaten on 95 off 45 balls against Rajasthan Royals. The all-rounder hit top gear in the 2015 season with two fifties in the first four games but a fractured finger disrupted his run and he was ruled out for the remainder of the tournament and returned home. He was inducted into the Delhi Daredevils squad ahead of the VIVO IPL 2017.
